A race calendar for Thailand’s FIA member federation

The Royal Automobile Association of Thailand, under royal patronage, is the country’s motorsport governing body and the FIA’s member federation for Thailand. I was hired to refresh the site’s look and to build its season competition calendar.

Refreshing the site’s look

Alongside the calendar I reworked the palette and typography and replaced the hero image, choosing faces that hold up in dates and tables — because most of what this association publishes is schedules, fixtures and regulations.

Why FullCalendar rather than a plugin

Full control of the look

WordPress calendar plugins arrive with a look of their own that only bends so far. FullCalendar is a library, not a product, so the colours, type and controls could be matched to the association’s palette exactly.

The list view comes with it

A month grid reads well on a desktop, but on a phone the day cells are too small to hold an event name. The list view solves that without a second page to maintain.

One less plugin to maintain

Every plugin added is something to keep updated and something that can collide with the next one. Using a single library on the one page that needs it leaves the rest of the site carrying nothing extra.

Delivered July 2026, still in use

The calendar went live and is still doing its job, carrying the 2026 season’s fixtures. You can open the real page from the button below.

Stated plainly: no metrics were collected for this engagement. There are no before-and-after traffic or usage figures. What can be verified is that the page shipped and is still running.
