Project overview

Almost every precast plant site opens on a wide shot of the stock yard and a crane. This one does not, because the person signing the purchase order is not deciding from a photograph. They want three things — how far this slab spans at a given live load, whether it can be produced before the pour, and whether it reaches their site. So those three go first, answered with cross-sections drawn as SVG, a span-against-live-load table, monthly output, a delivery-radius diagram, and a queue counted in working days. Every figure is set in mono so the columns line up on their digits, which is a functional decision rather than a stylistic one.

The 30-second version

  • A slab selector: drag the span, pick the live load, and the table says immediately which models are left, plus an estimate of piece count, total tonnage and truck trips from the floor area you enter.
  • Cross-sections for all four product families drawn as SVG, with dimension lines and real values on them — not photographs, and not stock icons.
  • A tabbed catalogue that walks with the arrow keys on a roving tabindex, and every table scrolls inside its own box on a phone.
  • Not one photograph anywhere on the page, and the page states that reasoning in running text.
  • The quote form and the document list are both labelled outright as sending nothing anywhere, rather than shipping a button that looks like it succeeded.

It fits manufacturers, plants and distributors who sell to a purchasing department rather than to a homeowner — businesses whose customers compare three suppliers at once on specification, unit price and delivery date, and who gain the moment they are willing to put those figures on the page instead of making people call for them.
